LESSON 5

Audiovisual Interviewing Methods and Participant Observation

In this module, students learn how to plan, structure, conduct and edit qualitative and quantitative interviews by making use of different media. Focusing on the many resources available to both capture and convey social policy research materials, students will learn how to actively choose the right tool for the right context, and the ethics of dealing with sensitive groups and issues.

Lesson 5

Interviews are essential to condense a political and informed policy opinion to be shared to stakeholders and citizens. By learning the theory and practice of how to conduct one, students are empowered to make their voice heard within national and transnational debates.
